1. Raghunath Temple: Raghunath temple is the most popular attraction of Kullu, Himachal Pradesh and people living in this place believe that statue of Raghunath which is present in the temple is same one that was used by Lord Rama for Ashwamedha Yajna and this statue was brought from Tretnath Temple located in Ayodhya. Architecture of this temple comprises of both pyramidal and Pahari styles which was built in the 1660 AD. Forty five festivals are celebrated every year in the Raghunath Temple and daily five times Arti is performed.
2. Chail Palace: It was created as the summer palace in the Chail Village which is located at an elevation of 2226m and it is surrounded by Deodar forests from all sides. This palace reflects the Maharaja Bhupinder Singh’s flamboyant personality as the Chail palace is located on the hilltop it looks as if palace is floating in the clouds. There are various numbers of Deodar trees and Pine trees are located in around the palace. Today you can stay in this palace as it is now turned into a hotel with tennis courts, rooms, billiards and children’s park.
3. Chowari Pass (Chowari Jot): Chowari Pass is located in between Chowari and Chamba in the state of Himachal Pradesh and this pass is located at an elevation of 800feet. While passing through this Jot (Pass) you can see Kainthli Dhar slopes Khajjar which are bristled with Deodar trees. The most interesting about this pass is you will be actually traveling on the hills which are covered with greenery on one side and snow on other side. The best time to visit this place is during summer i.e. in the month of April and May because during this time you can see various Rhododendron trees around this pass which gives a fantastic view of the surrounding.
4. Chail Sanctuary: Chail Wildlife Sanctuary is located near the foothills of Himalayas in the Chail village in Himachal Pradesh. This wildlife sanctuary consists of various wild animals and floral. This palace was used as hunting reserve by the maharaja of Patiala and in the year 1976 it was declared as a sanctuary. Chail wildlife Sanctuary is spread over 110km area and mammals such as leopards, rhesus macaque, goral crested porcupine and Indian Muntjac. Various other species which are found in this area include wild boar, sambar, common langur, black napped hare and Himalayan black bear.
5. Vajreshwari Temple: this temple is located in the Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, India. This Vajreshwari temple was destroyed by a huge earthquake in the year 1905 but later in the year 1920it was rebuilt again. In this temple Goddess Parvati is worshipped and people located in this place believe that when Lord Shiva danced with his wife Goddess sati on his back, Goddess Sati’s left breast fallen here and made this place as a blessed one. Every year on the eve of Makar Sankranti, butter is applied to the statue of Goddess located in this temple, in order to heal the wound of Goddess, which occurred when she was fighting with demon in those ancient days.
