One of the popular hill stations
of India, Mahabaleshwar is located in the Satara district of Maharashtra which
is situated in the Western Ghats. It used to serve as capital of Bombay

The source of the Krishna River

Gods of Hindu religion – Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva). Tributaries
of Krishna – Koyana and Venna are believed to be Lord Brahma and lord Shiva.
The other four rivers which come out from cow’s mouth are Gayatri, Savithri,
Venna and Koyana which travel for some distance and then merge into Krishna
River.
